Mauser Cone Hammer Model 1896 Automatic Pistol. 7.63 Caliber. All numbers are matching. Bore is excellent. Action works perfectly. Gun has approximately 95% blue. Grips are very good plus. Front grip strap has “A793” finely engraved. The Cone Hammer pistols were made mostly for commercial sales although some countries, notably Egypt ordered some for the military. This pistol has English firing proofs under the barrel so at one time it was sold in England, as proofing was mandatory for gun sales in England. This is made before 1898 and is classified as antique by serial number. These Cone Hammers were the first variation of the model “96 Broomhandle” pistol. This pistol is in very fine condition and very hard to find as such!
