Description:
Scott "Heavy Wildfowl" guns are uncommon. They were expensive and usually special order only.
This gun was originally built with one set of 32 inch Damascus bbls. A previous owner sent the gun to europe for refurbishment, and to have a second set of barrels fitted with high quality modern steel (Bohler)
This gun has received a "sensitive" refurbishing, This includes the rebrowning of the original damascus barrels, reblueing of the hammers, and a new oil finish on the stock. All other metal parts remain original. The case colors have faded but 50% remains on the locks, My camera does not do justice to this gun.
The overall condition is great. Bores are shiny and the gun is tight and "on Face"
The 10 gauge bbls (Original) 32 inches long, choked cyl & cyl, Chambers are 3&1/2 inches long.
Despite the robust nature of this gun, I would be reluctant to shoot modern 3 &1/2 10 ga shells in the gun. I would stick to the old 2&7/8 shells sold by RST and others. I have been collecting Scott guns for over 40 years, I am pricing all my guns at reasonable prices. I will also be listing many more high quality guns in the coming days.
