Description:
You are looking at a German made mannlicher sporting rifle in the 6.5 x 53R Dutch caliber. The rifle is all original except for the Pachmeyer recoil butt plate and (suspected)stock refinish. Examine the photographs closely. You will see that it in exceptionally fine condition with all serial numbers matching. Metal surfaces retain nearly all of the original blue finish. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The blond walnut stock is is solid and shows some sign of revarnishing. Foreend checkering seems to be at a different angle than that of the pistol grip, indicating that it may have been added by a different craftsman. Barrel length is 17". Length of pull is 14". Weight is 6.6 pounds empty. The rifle is clip fed with each clip holding five rounds. Five clips are included with the rifle.
I have shot this rifle. All mechanical function is fine. Recoil approximates the Winchester 243 in a Ruger American. The trigger is a smooth two-stage with a long take-up. The most reliable way of getting hold of me is via email: mladousiercomcast.
