Those who admire Winchester products and side x side shotguns are aware of the Winchester Model 23 introduced in 1978 and produced by Olin-Kodensha of Japan.  The Model 23’s were in production through 1987 and have at least 6 different models including some baby framed .410 guns and a few commemorative guns.  They are known to be extremely reliable, strongly built guns made in high-tech factories and of the finest steels.  This beautiful Winchester Model 23 Classic, snCL20-295E is the 295th produced out of a total of 999 planned to be made.  They likely did not make all 999 of them.  What a great find as the gun is in 100% factory new condition with no wear or marks anywhere on the wood or metal.  It has been fired but a scant few times and it must have been at a gun club with controlled conditions.  The case and papers are included with the gun and are in as new condition as well.  These guns were very attractive and had some nice touches, ie highly figured walnut with fine checkering and an ebony forend tip, jeweled action flats, barrel flats, and forend iron, and come nicely engraved with a gold inlaid pheasant on the bottom of the receiver.  They are a gun you can be proud to own, especially with the Winchester name and being long out of production.  We all know they will never be made again, so they continue to be in high demand and go up in value as you enjoy their use.  Choked the perfect IC/M and balanced dead on the hinge pin, these are excellent field guns and with the 3” magnum capability can cover late season pheasants and waterfowling tasks equally well.  A nicer Model 23 Classic you will not find, and we have priced the gun to sell so don’t miss out.  Thanks for looking!
