This Winchester M-1 Carbine .30 Caliber SrerNo. 5612556 w/a mfg date of 2/44. It is a Second Block Production Run. The Gun bluing is a medium parkerizing finish and consistant throughout. All parts appear to be correct
and matching. The stock is period correct also wa incomplete "w"in the sling well, the cross-cannons and cartouche marking of "WRD/GHD" on the right. The type stock is a "low Wood'. There are some very light handlinfg marks on the R - rear of the Buttstock and small ding on the R - Side by the breech. The handguard is a 4 hole type w/the corret "W" on the underside - it is excellent. The buttplate is an early splatter pattern. The overal finish is a medium walnut shade and very good.

w/W, Screw w/short thread, barrel Band T1 (Unmarked ?), Butt Plate - Early w/splatter pattern. Bore is clean w/distinct twist. Measures - "0". Sling is lte WWii type.(Magazine is not included).
This Winchester M-1 is to me an excellent & very collectible piece.I would rate this as an "NRA Very Good".
