Serial Number: S51598

There are quite a few L.C. Smith Field Grade 20ga. guns for sale, but almost none like this gun!  For those who want the very best factory original condition this may be your gun.  Built in 1949, snFWS51598 came from the factory with a single sighting plane high rib really works, making the sighting plane like an over/under, with no barrels present in your peripheral vision).  The 99% case color is vivid and bold, definitively factory original, as is the 99% dark barrel and trigger guard blue.  The desirable 26” barrels are choked IC/M with factory 2 ¾” chambers.  Even the wood is factory original finish with just a few handling marks present.  This gun has seen little use and very good care in the 70 years it has been around.  Anyone who does a search on the internet will realize that an Elsie in this condition, in 20ga., is a very hard to find gun.  The gun has been fired, so you won’t have to worry about being the first one to take her hunting!  We all know that condition is the most important part of investment quality firearms, so you can buy and use this gun for upland game and clay target games, and it will appreciate in value as you enjoy its use.  Thanks for looking!
