This Colt was produced in 1917. The pistol's serial number is 172540. This Colt is the standard military issued pistol for World War One. It has the correct H P marked barrel by the ejection port. The correct inspection marks and proof marks are sharp and clear. The original grips are in very fine condition. The bore is bright and sharp. The original War Time bluing is very strong and bright. The bluing would rate a 98% or better. There is some light speckling on the front grip area and at the base of the rear grip area. The magazine is the correct early magazine with the staple on the floor plate for a lanyard. This Colt has survived these years in amazing condition! This pistol is a veteran's take home from World War One. It has been in the family sine the end of the War. This Colt will be a collectors real prize for their collection!
