This Colt was from the Military contract first run of 1942. The pistol's serial number is 786694. The slide is correctly serial numbered to the frame inside the firing pin retaining plate. This pistol has the WB inspection stamp for Col. Waldemar S. Broberg. This gun has the correct Colt barrel with the (G) stamp in front of the lug. This barrel's bore is in near unused condition. This Colt has been shot very little. The original finish would rate a 95% overall condition. The original grips are in fine condition with no wear or flattening of the points. This pistol has the correct World War One two tone magazine. This pistol shows very little use or being handled. This Colt comes with the 1942 dated clip pouch with the correct W.W.1 two tone magazines. Thebelt is also W.W.2 Issued. The first aid kit and pouch is 1942 dated. The canteen and carrier is 1942 dated. The holster is 1942 dated. The lanyard is dated 1943. These accessories are in very fine well cared for condition. This is an as issued pistol rig for a Officer in the Civil Defense. This pistol rig has been in the veteran's family since it was issued in 1942. This pistol rig is complete showing little wear and use. It would be hard to find an original as issued pistol rig with known history! Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
