Barrel length 4”. Action works perfectly. This revolver was a Rollin White Patent infringement and Pond lost S&W’s law suit and as a result had to cease production. Approximately 4,486 revolvers remained as finished guns. Pond had to mark these revolvers “Manuf’d for Smith & Wesson Pat’d April 3, 1855 marked on left side angular barrel flat. Top flat is marked L.W. Pond Worcester Mass. Pat’d July 10 1860. Bottom barrel flat and cylinder pin marked 3558. Action works perfectly. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Rosewood grips are excellent with 98% original varnish. Very well made revolver and a very good example of Smith and Wesson’s determination to pursue any and all of S&W’s Rollin White Patent violators. Blue has mostly flaked on this revolver and has left an even blue-gray patina.
