This must be the gun that won the West .. judging from the amount of crud in the action, this rifle spent most of it's 100 year life on a horse. What happened to the original wood and barrel is anyone's guess. It was an takedown so we brought it back as such. We made an action extension, added a brand new 26" 14 twist "long range" full octagon takedown barrel in 38-55 (groove .377) chambered it to take cast or jacketed bullets, restocked it with oil-finished walnut, added an English style red pad, installed a brand new Lyman tang sight, and gave the internals a thorough cleaning. We left the action in patina. Now she's tight, correctly headspaced and 9lbs, comes with a set of dies, 50 fired cases in an MTM box, about 100 249gr cast bullets, and the spare aperture for the sight. Test fired only, promising see target.
