Browning Superposed Pointer Grade Two-Barrel Shotgun Set. Special Order. #40593S75, 12 ga. 28'' vent rib barrels have 2-3/4'' chambers and are choked Mod./Full; 12 ga. 26.5'' vent rib barrels have 2-3/4'' chambers and are choked IC/Mod.; barrels are marked with the serial number plus ''1'' and ''2''. Action features single selective gold trigger, auto ejectors and non-auto safety. Grey receiver, tangs and forend iron are engraved per Browning pattern, with pointer on right-hand side, setter on left-hand side, quail on bottom, and rising pheasant on the triggerguard, all surrounded by fine scroll borders; engraving done by J.M. DeBrus. The long tang, flat knob buttstock and two slender forends are of medium brown highly figured European walnut, with full coverage, checkering at 24 LPI; length of pull is 14.5'' to original Browning buttplate. Weight 7 lb 5 oz. DOC 1 5/8” DOH 2 3/8”. All items contained in period correct Browning hard case. Mfg'd 1975. Condition is excellent and used very little with no mars to wood, almost no wear to action or checkering, and 100% original Browning configuration. A truly exceptional special order set.
