Description:
Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are downright proud to offer this fine example of Parker's grade 3 gun. This one is built on the slender number 1 size frame. The DH is a good balance between features and price. You won't have to squint to see the finely detailed game scenes, with generous amounts of case color left on the receiver. Several that have examined this double commented that the engraving is more detailed than usual for a D grade, probably done by one of the top engravers at Parker.  The highly figured walnut is also nicely checkered, fitted with the famous engraved skeleton butt plate. The LOP is 13 3/4 inches, with drops of 1 5/8 and 3 inches. The Damascus pattern is vivid on the 28 inch barrels, with 17 and 5 thousandths of choke and 2 1/2 inch chambers. Barrel thickness is about 33 thousanths.  Extractors hoist the empties, and the safety is automatic. Made in the year of our Lord 1892, she is in great shape for being 127 years old and will ship right to your door. The lever resides to the right of center, the bores are great, and there are only minor handling marks on the wood. And yes, Irene, she is in the Parker book as configured. With RST loads, this 6 pounder would be a pleasure to take on a nostalgic hunt. If you have been looking for the right Parker to collect, for investment, or for showing some class in the field, but want a svelte lightweight with lots of condition, then look no further.
If you don't like this one, I see Cabelas has one with an added recoil pad and mismatched barrels for 3800.
