Description:
Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are extra proud to offer this fine example of Parker's grade 2 hammerless gun, the GH. This one is chambered in hard to find 16 gauge, and is in wonderful condition. Made in the year of our Lord 1902, it is hard to believe she is 117 years old. The nicely figured and checkered walnut has only light handling marks, and is about the best I have seen on a G grade. This is the grade that offered the entry level of game scene engraving while still remaining affordable. The engraving is sharp, and generous amounts of case color remain on the receiver. The 28 inch complex Damascus barrels are a bit blotchy, with great bores and chokes of 26 and 10 thousandths. She locks up tight, the lever residing to the right of center. The LOP to the famous dog's head butt plate is 13 1/2 inches, with drops of 1 7/8 and 3 inches. And yes, Irene, she is in the Parker book as configured. I believe this scattergun saw little use and good care. With RST loads, this 6 1/2 pound gun would be a pleasure to take afield. If you are looking for the right Parker to collect, for investment, or traditional hunting, but want the added clout of a small bore with lots of condition, then look no further.
