Gun came to us looking like it has been in Texas since the Alamo .. screws were perfect (never been apart), bores were excellent (having been honed), the ribs tight, the ivory bead (unusual on a Greener) was intact, the wood sound, the gold oval blank, the horn buttplate original, but rather dirty and the finishes pretty worn with some corrosion. We rejointed it by Tig method to tighter than new, cleaned and lubed most everything, and gave the wood a cleaning and a rubbing of BLO so the original checkering is now mostly visible. It's eminently serviceable, has lots of character, and could be further restored if desired. In particular the checkering is in need of a cleaning, barrels could use a rebrown to bring out the damascus figure POR. Weight 7lb, stock dims 14"-2 1/2"- 1 7/8", 3/8" cast off. Barrels 2 1/2" plus x 30" uncut, bores R 740/720 mod, L 740/695 xf. Priced to sell.
