Smith & Wesson M&P Model of 1905 .38 Spl Circa 1905-1906 Serial#66773
Vintage medium frame double action revolver chambered in .38 special
features a blued finish, pinned 6 inch barrel, forged round blade front sight,
"u" notched rear sight, fluted six-shot cylinder, non-shrouded ejector rod,
round butt K service frame with two piece diamond checked walnut grips
with mongramed S&W medalions. Exhibits about 90-92% blued finish which
shows light holster wear, scattered handling marks, and some fresh finish lost
to left side of barrel end, rear cylinder face & recoil shield as depicted in the
photo array. Action is smooth with good lock-up. The bore is good with scattered
pitting consistent with age of revolver. The original grips are in very good condition.
The serial numbers match on the bottom of the barrel & at the heel of the frame
handle. Overall a good tight 1905 example - $20.00 additional fee for shipping &
insurance - Must be shipped to FFL.
