Robbins and Lawrence .31 Caliber Pepperbox. Percussion Ring trigger pepperbox. Circa 1851. Barrels are 4 ½”. Bores are all amazingly excellent. Very well executed factory engraving. Rosewood grips are excellent. This pepperbox has no finish although we assume it was browned barrels as are most Robbins and Lawrence pepperbox. The engraving, barrel address and overall sharpness of the metal leads us to believe it was finished “in the white or had lost its finish somehow without buffing or polishing metal parts. Really fine pepperbox!
