Description:
1795 US Springfield type lll 69 caliber formerly flintlock converted to percussion circa 1850. Lock date 1809, but pate date 1809, US over eagle over Springfield. Barell length 44.25 inches marked with the V P and eagle and has a nice smooth mellow brown patina as well as the rest of the metal parts. Wood is in very good full military 3 band length. Has what appears to be a correct ramrod but is missing sling swivels. A very good historic musket that served from war of 1812 reruns the civil was.
