This is a very nice all-original pre-ban Polytech Model AKS-762 rifle in 7.62x39 caliber with double import stamps consisting of Keng's on the bottom of the receiver and R.A.I. Woodland Hills on the barrel. These double-marked guns are some of the earliest Chinese AK imports into the States. This scarce and sought-after AK model by the Chinese Polytech firm is considered one of the best Chinese AK models ever imported into the U.S., and looks as close to the original select fire military model as you can get. The Polytech AKS-762 features a beautiful factory gloss blue finish, a 16" inch threaded barrel with a slant muzzle break, a bayonet lug, a windage-adjustable hooded front sight post and elevation-adjustable rear sight, a chrome-lined bore, and a hardwood stock set with a smooth hardwood pistol grip. This example is serial number 85W-762-0413, making it's date of manufacture 1985. It is an all-matching gun, with all of the factory numbered parts matching including the receiver, trunnion, bolt carrier/piston, bolt head, gas tube, recoil spring guide, and dust cover. As you can see from the pictures this Polytech AKS-762 has been well-cared for and is in great shape overall. The factory blue finish rates 97%, with the only deductions from some very minor handling marks. All of the factory stampings and markings are crisp and clear. The bore is bright and pristine with sharp rifling in this AK. There are no visible imperfections, erosion, or pitting. The stock set is in very good condition, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major dings/damage. The wood shows only some minor handling marks and dings but nothing that stands out as an eyesore. All 4 parts of the stock set are a perfect match in color and patina. This AKS-762 has a black rubber factory extension attached to the buttplate with the original factory hardware. All of the controls on this Polytech are in perfect working order, and the action is slick and locks into battery perfectly. This Ak should fire just as reliably and accurately today as it did in 1985 when it left China. It comes with one 30rd Chinese magazine and a Chinese Militarysling. If you have been looking to add an AK worthy of your collection, this scarce Polytech Model AKS-762 would be an excellent choice.
