Description:
This is a beautiful all-original and scarce Colt Peacekeeper .357 Magnum revolver with a 6" inch barrel. Manufactured for only 4 short years between 1985 and 1989, the 6-shot .357 Magnum Colt Peacekeeper was based off of the Colt Trooper Mark V and featured a 4" or 6" inch vent rib barrel similar to the Colt Python. It came from the factory with a matte blue finish, an adjustable rear sight, a ramped front sight with a red insert, and black rubber Pachmayr combat grips with gold Rampant Colt medallions. Due to slow commercial sales, not many of these Peacekeepers were manufactured before the model was discontinued, making them quite collectible and sought-after today. This particular example is serial number 64392V, and it remains in superb condition. It has obviously spent the vast majority of it's life in storage and has been fired a handful of times at most since leaving the factory. The matte blue factory finish rates 98% plus, with the only deductions coming from a very faint drag line around the cylinder and a few tiny little handling marks, visible only under very close inspection. The bore is minty and pristine, with sharp lands and grooves in the rifling and no visible imperfections. The 6 cylinder bores are equally as clean. The factory Pachmayr grips are in excellent like-new condition, free from any tears, repairs, scratches, or visible wear. Both sides have nice clean Rampant Colt medallions that are tight to the rubber. The action on this Colt is smooth and slick, and it locks up in perfect time whether operated in single or double-action. All of the controls on this Peacekeeper are in perfect 100% working order. We have no doubt that this Colt would function just as well today as the day it left the factory 33 years ago. This Peacekeeper comes with the correct original factory box, however there is no label or owner's manual so we have no idea if it is original to this exact gun. If you have been looking for one of these elusive Peacekeepers for your collection this example would be an excellent choice. It would be nearly impossible to upgrade from this all-original beauty.
