Description:
1901 Colt Single Action Army chambered in.32/20 with a 5 1/2'' barrel. Per the included Colt archive letter it was shipped April 11, 1901 to Philadelphia, PA.This is an all original survivor. The numbers match on the frame, grip frame, trigger gaurd and grips. The bluing on the barrel is very good with most of the wear isolated to the left front of it. The cylinder is excellent with just a little slivering at the leading edges. The grip frame shows moderate wear. The color casing is still fairly strong on the frame and hammer. There is still lots of nitre blue left onn the small parts. The bore is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. All 4 clicks are crisp and the lock up is tight. The grips have sharp checkering throughout with no hsandling to speak of. They has just a trace of fading. At 118 years old this is quite the survivor.
