Parker VH 20 gauge SxS shotgun. This maybe the perfect upland game gun! Lovingly built in 1928 with 28” Vulcan Steel barrels which have unaltered 2 9/16" chambers, choked IC (.007”) and Light Full (.020”), beautiful bores and restored deep rust blue, and double ivory beads. About 1/2 way between the breech and the muzzle there is a hardly noticeable area where it appears a small bulge was "hammered-out" when the restoration was taking place; with over .024" wall thicknesses it remains well in proof . The buttstock has a capped pistol grip and great dimensions: 14 ¼” LOP to the dog’s head buttplate, 1 ½” DAC and 2 5/8” DAH with neutral cast. The stock and forearm have been professionally refinished. The dainty “0” frame is ideal for this gun making it have an overall weight of only 5 lbs. 15 oz. and a nice responsive balance between the hands. There is little finish remaining on the frame with slight traces of colors near the fences.
Mechanically perfect, tight, top lever still right of center. As I said at the beginning this is great gun for upland bird hunting then a beautiful addition to your fine shotgun collection.
