Description:
This is a wonderful and exceptional original condition very late L C Smith Featherweight Shotgun, probably one of the last guns made before closing the doors in 1951. A 16 Ga Featherweight Ideal Grade with 28 inch barrels, choked full and full, with original 2&3/4 inch chambers, ivory bead front and mid beads, beavertail forearm, gutta percha factory buttplate, etc. Shotgun is a double trigger gun with plain extractor. Condition is excellent with most all blue on the barrels, and ditto on the case colors on the receiver. Operating lever to the right of center indicating not much use at all, and excellent chambers and bores. The buttplate has a couple of chips, one right at the toe and another on the left edge but it is original to the gun. Stock and forend finish is original and with only minor handling marks. Serial number range is FWS54523x.
