SUPERIOR SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1888 RAMROD BAYONET TRAPDOOR RIFLE W/ORIG. ROCK ISLAND MODEL 1888 ONE PIECE SLING. 45-70 caliber. All original and excellent overall. 95% original blue on barrel, mounts and lock. Case hardened breech and barrel tang. Stock with the original finish and crisp “SWP/1892” cartouche. Regiment marked on butt “31/89”. Mint bore and perfect working order. Exceptional sling with nice “Rock Island” stamp and “E.H.S.” Ordnance Inspector’s stamp. Sling very hard to find and extra nice Model 1888.
