This is a very nice, all-original, and un-molested Belgian Browning/FN High Power pistol in 9mm Luger complete with the original factory zipper case. The Browning High Power pistol is one of the all-time classics, the last pistol design of the famous John M. Browning in 1935. Used by militaries and civilians alike from World War 2 to the present day, the Browning High Power quickly earned a reputation for being a very well-made pistol that was reliable, accurate, and packed a punch with a 13-round mgazine capacity. This particular example is serial number 245PY10855, making it's date of manufacture 1982. It features a high-polish blue factory finish, a 4 & 5/8ths" inch barrel, a left-side mounted slide stop/takedown lever and thumb safety, a fixed front sight, a drift-adjustable rear sight, checkered Walnut factory grips, and a 13-round double stack detachable magazine. The high gloss factory blue finish on this Browning is in very good condition overall, with just some scattered light finish wear/handling marks. Most of these marks are located at the left rear of the slide and the underside of the gun, and as you can see from the pictures, do not detract too much from the clean overall look of this Belgian High Power. The bore in this pistol is mirror-bright and pristine, with no visible imperfections, pitting, or erosion. The rifling still looks like-new, with nice sharp lands and grooves throughout the barrel. The original factory grips on this High Power are in excellent condition, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or visible wear. Both sides have clean and crisp checkering, and both sides are nice and tight to the grip frame. The slide to frame fit on this Browning is superb with no slop or excessive play in it. The action is slick, smooth, and feels very precise. All of the controls on this High Power are in perfect working order, and we have no doubt that this pistol will still shoot just as reliably and accurately as the day it left the factory. As mentioned before, this High Power comes complete with the original factory 13-round magazine and the factory Browning-branded zipper case. If you have been looking for a nice original and presentable Browning High Power for your collection this 1982-production gun would be an excellent choice. It is still nice enough to be a great investment but not too good to shoot.
