#63835, Imman Meffert 16 x 16 x 8-57JR Drilling, A 1937 Suhl Made Drilling with Their Lightweight Alloy Dural Frame, It comes with a 22 Long Rifle insert with a 5" barrel, 25 1/2" Krupp steel barrels with rib extension & a crossbolt at .673 .034 & .034" (Full & Full), 2 1/2" chambers, After-market claw mounts, 1" rings mounted with a 1 x 4 Leupold with their PIG PLEX reticle with holdover lines and a central circle, Solid rib with 1 folding rear sight that is actuated with the top tang rifle barrel selector, Bolstered frame, Side clip action body, All 3 barrels with steel bushed strikers, Scalloped frame, Cocking indicators, The front trigger is a set trigger, 3 locking screws on key screws on the frame, Horn trigger guard and grip cap, Very nice wood, Shadowline cheekpiece, Sling swivels, Very nice wood, 14" LOP over a horn buttplate, 99% oak leaf engraving coverage, This piece is 6 lbs. 7 oz. without the scope and 7 lbs. 4 oz. with the scope, The barrels have been reblued and now at 97%, The original frame finish at 95%, The buttstock has been re-oiled but I am certain not sanded and it remains at 95%, The original checkering both fore & aft is at 80%, The shotgun bores are excellent, The rifle bore is also excellent. The wood remains very solid and will go another 83 years. The bottom of the frame is also engraved "Hubertus Suhl". The gun is cased in a modern canvas trunk with leather corners and an Abercrombie & Fitch label. There is plenty of Sellier & Bellot 8x57JR ammo that can be bought from a whole bunch of distributors. The Duraluminum alloy metal was developed by the Dürener Company in Germany in 1909. It was used by Walther in the pre-war era to produce lighter pistols.
