A factory letter accompanies this fantastic Pre Model 24 confirming the configuration and detailing its original shipment on December 9, 1955 to the California Hardware Company in Los Angeles, California and is equipped with a 6 1/2" barrel, original bright blue finish and the original numbers matching checkered walnut diamond magna grips. The gun is complete in the original numbers matching grey box with the tissue wrap, unused toolkit and Helpful Hints brochure.
An outstanding example of the model this awesome .44 Special retains 99% of the original special ordered bright blue finish which shows only the faintest of collector type handling evidence. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. Overall a top-shelf scarce N-frame variation that will have a special place in any advanced collection!
