Description:
Here is a nice Marlin SRC (ring and stud removed to mount the Lyman sight) with a very good bore. While .25-36 ammunition is in the collector category .25-35 ammunition works just fine in these rifles (you can't use .25-36 ammunition in .25-35 rifles, however). Wood is solid and unsanded though some of the varnish is gone as might be expected after 100 years. Case hardening on the action is mostly gone but the barrel and tube bluing remains though turning. No rust or pitting. One screw is missing from the upper tang, easily replaceable, probably from a tang sight long since removed. The Lyman receiver sight turns mediocre carbine accuracy into something much better with its longer sight radius. This particular 21 sight offers a choice of 2 reticule sizes with the flip of your fingernail, small for targets, larger for the deer woods. If you haven't looked, original Lyman 21 sights are selling in the $400 range on e-Bay. This is a very nice carbine that can be taken to the deer woods today or added to your collection. $50 shipping and insurance  via priortity mail to your C&R or ffl.
