Colt's Double Action Revolver Model of 1877 .38/c 4 1/2 inch barrel. The serial number of this example is 1659XX placing date of manufacture in 1909. The Colt's Factory Letter that will accompany this Lighting provides the following description at the time of shipment: Caliber: .38/c, Barrel Length: 4 1/2, Finish: Blue, Type of Stocks: Not Listed, Shipped to: F.Peters, 1438 Hamburg, Germany, Date Of Shipment: February 11th. 1909, Number of Guns in Shipment: 24. Overall condition is excellent with the Barrel retaining 99% of the original untouched factory blue. The bore is perfect possibly unfired! The Cylinder has retained 95+% of the original untouched factory blue. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. All screws retain 100% of their original untouched factory "Fire Blue".
