The factory deluxe grade Maple stock on this Winchester Model 70 Super Grade is absolutely stunning. The more you look at the more impressed you will be. The "tiger stripes" that run up and down the wood look almost as if they are floating over top of the wood. The Winchester Model 70 Super Grade is the firm's finest production rifle outside of their custom shop models. The attention to detail and fit and finish of this rifle set it apart from their other models by a great deal. The Super Grade rifles have a mirror-like polish with a high gloss blue finish, and feature many other details both small and large that standard Model 70s do not have. This Winchester Super Grade features a jeweled bolt, a drilled and tapped receiver, a Mauser-style claw extractor, and controlled-round feeding with a 24" inch barrel with no sights. As mentioned earlier, this particular rifle is a special run that features high grade Maple stocks in place of the normal Walnut. The stock has hand-cut checkering, an ebony forend tip, a blued steel pistol grip cap, a factory installed recoil pad, and inletted sling swivel bases. This example is like-new and unfired. The bore is in mint condition with no visible imperfections whatsoever. The gloss blue finish is perfect with no wear or scratches. The stock is equally as mint. There are no visible dings, dents, or wear visible. The controls on this rifle function perfectly. The action is really slick and precise, and it locks into battery perfectly. The trigger is exceptionally good for a production rifle. It breaks like a glass rod with a light pull with no grittiness or slop. This Maple stocked Super Grade comes with the original box, manuals, paperwork, lock, etc. It is as complete and minty as you can get. If you have been looking for a top quality rifle for your collection that really stands out this is it!
