Description:
BSA manufactured these air rifles from 1912 to 1918 with a limited number produced. This one was made in 1914. The top of the barrel is stamped with the standard four line model/address marking. "RD NO 479972" is stamped on the underside, under the cocking lever. The left rear of receiver is marked "No. S71470" over "2". The cocking lever has a side release button and is marked "PATD 3/4/06". Blade front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight and an adjustable trigger. Mounted on a checkered short sawhandle grip walnut stock with a serrated bare butt.
Condition: near-mint. The barrel and frame retain approximately 90% of the original blue finish. The stock is very fine with some minor dings and scratches. The checkering is crisp.
