This is a rare beauty! It is one of the 5002 carbines made for the Spanish American War. It has been handed down from original owner who served in the Spanish American war in the Philippines to his son who graduated West Point and then to his son and has been in the attic ever since .
it is in excellent original conditon no repairs or modification.
It has a true 22" barrel (was not cut) the rear site has the "C" on it, the blue is still showing on the metal. The Scabbard is stamped Rock Island Arsenal and has the cleaning rod in it. Cartouche is beautiful.
