Description:
Colt Sporter II carbine with rare Z-Cote or Woodland Camo finish. This Carbine is in new unfired condition with the finish being in excellent condition showing no wear or scratches. These Z-Cote weapons were a very short run and don't come up for sale often. As best I can tell they produced 250 rifles, 125 carbines and 125 1911 camo companions which were often sold together as a pair. There were more Colt Carbines, and Electroless Nickel, colt guard, first year 1963 SP 1 rifles, R6550CC, CC prefix, 6721, 6520 made than the Z-Cote finished rifles. If you are a collector of preban rifles this is a must, like the galil sniper, psg1 and the colt comanche. Very rare to see one for sale and exceptionally rare to see in this condition. There is some great information on the internet on these ultra rare rifles. I am listing as used but the weapon has only been factory test fired.
