ROYAL NEPALESE Brunswick Pattern Percussion MUSKET
Musket Hand Made in Nepal
Here we present an antique Royal Nepalese Brunswick Pattern Percussion Musket, which is a copy of a British Brunswick rifle. About 12,000 of these were hand made in Nepal between 1840 and 1860. The Brunswick rifle is a large caliber muzzle-loading percussion rifle manufactured for the British Army at the Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield in the early 19th century. A large stockpile of such weapons was found in Nepal in the not so distant past.
This one has the same style of bayonet lug as the British version. Nepalese markings throughout.
The overall condition is good. The bore is smooth, dark and dusty. The action remains strong.
