Description:
Breda built on 1903 Mannlicher Schoenauer Action with full Mannlicher Stock in 257 Caliber. Receiver is dated 1927. Lovely Mannlicher Stock with a 20 &1/2 Inch Barrel and Excellent Bore. Buttstock is nicely Checkered with Fleur- De- Lis pattern on the Pistol Grip with a metal cap. Buttplate is checkered metal with a widows peak. Don' t think this gun was hunted or handled very much. Very few handling marks in the wood. Trigger Guard is lightly engraved. Lower Tang has some handling marks on it. Originally offered in the 6.5 Italian Carcano. This one has been rechambered in 257 Roberts. We fired it and there is no change in the brass, no blowout or difussion. Bolt does not number up to the serial number on the receiver but all matching numbers on the bolt itself. Feeds and chamberes well from the Rotary Magazine. A well built gun with very nice appointments and would make a great hunter.
