Colt 1851 Navy 3rd Model .36 Caliber Pistol. Made in 1856. .36 Caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This is a nice sharp gun with some of the finish still on the barrel. Some case colors remain on the loading lever as well. Cylinder still has a very good cylinder scene. The frame is nice and sharp with traces of case colors. This is a civilian gun and this gun has nicely varnished grips in excellent condition. This is a scarce gun with iron trigger guard and back straps. Most of these guns are English marked or a US martial gun. This gun is very close in the serial range with the martials, so this is probably an over run. Both the trigger guard and back straps have most of the original silvers. Gun is all matching and action works perfectly. Very fine all original gun!
