ANTIQUE MODEL 1884 TRAPDOOR .45-70 RIFLE ALTERED TO CARBINE. 22" BARREL, VERY GOOD BRIGHT BORE & RIFLING, NICELY CROWNED MUZZLE. 1873 DATED LOCK IN EXCELLENT WORKING ORDER, CRISP WITH 3 CLICK HAMMER. METAL SURFACES SMOOTH BRIGHT BLUE ALL THE MARKINGS REMAIN CRISP & DISTINCT. WALNUT STOCK ALTERED TO CARBINE STYLE, STRONG 1889 CARTOUCH & "P" FIRING PROOF. MANY OF THESE "CARBINES" WERE DONE BY BANNERMAN & HARTLEY & GRAHM AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY. SHOULD MAKE A REAL GOOD BIG GAME HUNTING RIFLE IN AN EVER POPULAR CALIBER, AS PICTURED.
