Description:
The Sig Sauer® 1911 Extreme is a highly advanced semi-auto pistol based on the Browning designed M1911 single-action, recoil-operated military sidearm. The 1911 Extreme features a Nitron™ coated, machined stainless steel slide and frame. The frame features an integral 3-lug Picatinny rail for attaching aftermarket sights and lights. Low-profile night sights, dovetailed into the slide, provide rapid sight acquisition in any light, with minimal interference when drawing and reholstering the weapon. The hammer recesses into the beavertail grip safety to protect it when carrying the weapon cocked with the ambidextrous thumb safety on, and to avoid hammer-bite while firing. A pronounced memory bump on the grip safety enhances consistent hold for greater accuracy. Aggressive texturing on the front strap and mainspring housing and Hogue® Extreme Series G10 grip panels with Piranha texture provide a solid non-slip hold, even with sweaty hands. Front and rear cocking serrations enhance reliability when loading or clearing the pistol. The Sig Sauer 1911 Extreme Semi-Auto Pistol is a superbly accurate and reliable weapon designed for tactical and personal-defense use.
