PRE WW1 MAUSER COMMERCIAL OBERNDORF SPORTER TYPE B 8x57 OR 8X57S RIFLE WITH SWEDISH HUSQVARNA PROOFS, LIKE NEW ORIGINAL CONDITION, CIRCA 1903-04. 24" tapered barrel with original front and rear sights with Crown proofs and "240." "7,9" and "8,2". Along with German proofs are the Husqvarna proofs and Swedish Crown over G (Carl Gustafs). Rear tangent with 50-1000 increments and original flame blue on sight. Barrel mtd front sling swivel with rear matching(stud in reinforced wood diamond). Matching correct bolt and handle as well as serial number stamped under forend in channel along with "H". Non hinged military style floorplate with recess for use of bullet tip to disengage. No extra holes drilled into receiver. Correct half stock with tapering forend and rounded pistol grip(early). Cheekpiece. Checkered wrist crisp as the day it was applied. Factory expert inletting typical of Oberndorfs. Matching serial numbers on barrel, receiver along with "Waffenfabrik Mauser- Oberndorf" and German Crown/B and Crown/U(same on bolt handle)as well as back of magazine box. 13 3/4" length of pull over original WFM buttplate9Early as well). 6lbs 12oz overall weight. 95% plus original blue with fire blue on bolt release lever. Single trigger. Prime example of pre WW1 sporter made for the Swedish market possibly.
