FINE WAR OF 1812 HARPERS FERRY U.S. MODEL 1795 FLINTLOCK MUSKET DATED 1815. .69 caliber 44 ½” round smoothbore barrel with Harpers Ferry proofs at the left breech and stamped “OHIO” in small letters just forward of the proofs. Lock stamped forward of the hammer with “US/EAGLE” and behind the hammer “HARPERS/FERRY/1815”. All original and complete including all the lock parts and swivels and ramrod. Metal with all the dark original patina and stock with the original finish with a surface of old dried furniture polish mixed with handling patina. Lock in perfect working order and excellent bore. One of the best of these we have had with the “OHIO” stamp dating to the 1820-30”s where it certainly went for service in the post War of 1812 era.
