Description:
SOLD
In Darne's highest grade, this sliding breech double from 1930 remains in excellent condition with ~95% original barrel blue. Full coverage of receiver in chiseled floral and scroll engraving with it's original french gray finish. The breech end of the barrels have 8 wedges of scroll engraving.
The 26 ¾ inch “plume” barrels have 2 ½ inch chambers and are choked light-modified (.015) and improved-modified (.025). Bores are bright, unblemished and original.
The semi-pistol grip stock is an exceptionally figured piece of french walnut. 14 ½ inch pull over a leather covered pad. 2 inch drop at the comb and 3 ½ inch drop at the heel. Sharp 22 lines/inch checkering.
The gun weighs 6 pounds and has ejectors and knurled double triggers, the front trigger is articulated. Serial number QQ-64
Comes in a custom french-fitted oak and leather case and a full complement of accessories. An original Darne brochure with instructions in English is also included.

I have significantly reduced the price from an earlier listing, reluctantly but at the wife's insistence. Easier to sell the gun than give up on a fifty year marriage.

$5,500 money order or cashier's check, plus $100 shipping via USPS Registered insured Priority Mail to FFL dealer or C&R license holder.
