SOLD>>>A scarce . Remington Model 14 A in .440-40 or .44 Rem caliber,with a 17" round barrel, crowned professionaly and a front dovetailed sight, with magazine located under the barrel. The rear sight is a left side mounted Lyman peep sight. Bolt release to pump is a button on the side of the bolt.The frame has much of it's blue and the barrel is now turning to brown patina. Walnut stocks , with the butt stock having thin, stable age/stress crackes on the right side away from the receiver, and the walnut wooden ribbed forend is complete and good. A few scuffs or shallow dents from field use. The LOP with a brown rubber recoil pad is about 14 3/8" overall length. This is an early police , guard gun and were used to take done people like Bonnie, and Clyde. The bore hs strong rifling, amnd slightroughness in the grooves, but will sppin a bullet very good. More of a shooter than a collector value. Check my inventory of rare grips, unusual gun parts, barrels and holsters.
