Description:
Very scarce configuration, original one piece walnut gripped, short barrel, (4 3/4") black powder .45cal with a nickel finish! Any 4 3/4" barrel, walnut gripped, Colt SAA is very hard to find. Factory nickel finish is even more rare. This gun is all original, no cleaning, no polishing, and has never been monkeyed with. Excellent and tight mechanics, all 4 clicks, nice original screws with faded blue still present on most, and all factory markings are nice and clear. Very good to excellent bore, as well. This rare Colt revolver also has an "overrun" D.F.C. marked cylinder, unusual, but were used by Colt's on civilian production guns from about 1884-1886. (See "A Study of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver" by Graham, Kopec, and Moore, pg. 51). Comes with it's original holster that came with the gun and a factory archive letter.
