Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are absolutely proud to offer this extremely rare find in the world of Winchester. This is a model 1897 Pigeon Grade cased 2 barrel set. This was the first pigeon grade gun from Winchester. Made in the year of our Lord 1917, she is in good condition for being 102 years old. The blue is deep and rich, with some thinning at carry points. The XXX walnut is also very good, with only light handling marks. Both barrels, at 30 and 24 inches, are matted with offset proof marks. One is marked FULL and the short one CYL. The bores are good, with a little light pitting just downwind of the 24's chamber. The takedown lockup is exceptionally tight, likely from little use. The custom fit canvas and leather case is very good, and fits this set like a glove. These fine pump guns can fetch over 8000 dollars from a single barrel, and I will list this set for about the same. If you have been looking for the right 1897 to collect or for investment, but want the added clout of a 2 barrel set cased Pigeon gun, then look no further.
