Hopkins & Allen “Excelsior Model” .31 Caliber Revolver. “Hopkins & Allen Mfg. Co. Norwich Ct.” marked on top barrel flat. This is a Bacon Mfg. Co. product, circa 1858-1867. .31 Caliber Percussion revolver. Bacon was the manufacturer using several different barrel addresses for other manufacturers. This revolver is a 1st Model known as the “Excelsior Model” with 5” barrel and 5 panel roll die cylinder scenes. Octagonal barrel. Excellent bore and action. Less than 1000 estimated made. Fine condition with light even patina.
