Savage model 99EG in 300 Savage.Built in 1954,this rifle is in a very hard to find configuration.It has the features of the early style 99s such as a brass shell counter,lever safety,and schanbel forend. However,it also has several newer features such as factory drilled and tapped for a scope,engine turned bolt,factory sling swivels,and checkered stock and forend.This rifle is in like new condition retaining 100% of the original blue,100% of the original wood finish,and 100% of the original lever case colors.The rifle has a period correct Weaver 4X scope and Weaver bases and rings installed.It is sighted in and shoots 150 grain Hornadys in 1" groups.The bore is mint with sharp well defined rifling.This is a very hard to find rifle with all of these features and in like new condition.A classic 99 for collector or shooter.C&R eligible.
