Many of you that enjoy shooting with the side by side shotgun are familiar with Tony Galazan’s well received RBL series of round bodied guns. The gun presented here is an as new RBL Launch series from the earliest dates of manufacture (2006) with an as new case, all the accessories, shipping box, and many options. These early guns have more refined engraving and generally a better fit and finish than later guns. Wonderfully balanced, engraved on the coin finished receiver with much nicer engraving than the later RBL guns, including the shaded background that makes the engraving pop and really show off…this is a great looking double gun. This gun weighs in at 6lbs. 5oz. which is much lighter than most RBL guns you will review, and that is very important for the upland gunner that walks so many tough miles in heavy cover and grasslands. The gun is stocked with gorgeous 3X special order wood and a long length of pull that will accommodate the taller and shorter shooters both. One of the most interesting extra cost options is the Holland & Holland style assisted opening feature that allows for quick and effortless reloads when that covey of quail goes up in front of you. The RBL is ready to shoot modern ammunition from its 28” barrels and with the full range of 8 choke tubes is a very versatile gun ready for upland game and/or fun on the clays course. As with most desirable firearms that have been discontinued, the RBL will increase in value as time goes on, and as such, is a good place to invest your money and enjoy its use. Here are some specifics on this gun: RBL - Launch Edition, 20ga. 28" Barrels. 8 hidden screw-in choke tubes, beautiful 3X American black walnut English style stock, hard butt plate, beavertail forend, gold triggers, automatic ejectors, solid game rib, assisted opener, full coverage engraved receiver over coin finish, highest quality American workmanship, very few coined finish guns were produced, Base price - $3,795.00, options include: 3X Wood - $350.00, Beavertail Forend - $175.00, TruOil Finish - $500.00, 4 extra choke tubes $120.
