<<<SOLD>>>A magnificent double barrel Howdah 11 mm pistol made in Belgium and the lock-up is tight like new, and this gun has an unusual feature, where the rear sight can be pushed back to lock the cocked hammers from touching the cartridge pins. The French ebonized walnut grips had been darkened to look like ebony when they were new and are in excellent condition.Maharaj would use these on tiger hunts, when the tiger lept up to the rider on the elephant they would be dispatched at close range with this deadly black powder lead 11mm slug. The barrels are in the white and have very clean sharp rifled bore.The frame is cold chiseled foliate engraved. The under barrel lever locks the gun. Both matched hammers work very well. This 11mm pistol has a 7 3/16" long round barrels with a bead front sight. Check my inventory of rare grips, unusual gun parts, barrels and holsters.
