Payment Types Accepted: Money Order, Certified Check Description: SALE PENDING. Found this one at a show last year on an elderly gentleman's table. He told me, "hopefully, someone can use this" as its for a 12 Gauge Trenchgun from WW2 but we learned the hard way with a customer who ordered it previously, that it does not fit a Model 12 Winchester. After looking at it a bit more closely, we believe its for the Winchester Model 1897 97 Trenchgun. Since these Trenchguns and Riots are now worth big money, most of those parts have dried up so finding this one was a pleasant surprise. If I'm traveling and see a nice part like this, I'll buy and sell it to offset my trip expenses such as gas, food, and lodging. It does not appear to have ever been installed on a shotgun as the wood is light with no oil stains or darkening and is inletted for a sling swivel. I would assume that a Riot Model would NOT have had swivels which this is cut for. Also has what looks to be a military inspector's cartouche on the left side. It comes with the original checkered steel buttplate already installed which has all the original blue. The walnut has a few minor nicks and scratches from being in storage for many years but excellent overall. SOLD |
