CIVIL WAR ERA SMITH & WESSON NO. 1 SECOND ISSUE .22 CAL. POCKET REVOLVER CA. 1865. 7 shot .22 short rimfire cal. with 3 ¼” barrel with maker’s name and Springfield, Mass. address. Original silver plated frame All matching and original. Factory rosewood grips with most of the original finish. Barrel with nice crisp grey patina. Working order and good bore. Often seen in Civil War photos being held by soldiers on both sides as their private purchase, personal side arm despite it’s small size.
