1870s Pinfire by Orbea Hermanos in Spain
Here we present an antique Orbea Hermanos Pepperbox Pinfire Revolver with a Beautiful Dog & Rabbit Chase Cylinder Scene in Gold and Ivory Grips, made circa 1870 in Eibar, Spain. Before the turn of the century, Orbea Hermanos was one of the largest pistol manufacturers in the city of Eibar in Spain. This small revolver was designed to be used for concealable self-defense in the last half of the 19th Century.
This piece is just as much a work of are as weapon. Ivory grips, engraved frame, and fantastically decorated cylinder make it so. The cylinder bears the likeness of a stag, doe, game birds, and a dog giving chase to a rabbit.
The overall condition is fine. The bores are smooth and in good condition. The action is strong and crisp. Find another one like it!
